Inversions, New Listings & More!

If you live anywhere near the Salt Lake Valley, you will know what this title is talking about! I am so sick of the weather here! We have had this horrible inversion in the valley for the past two weeks or more and it's gross! The sun is out...somewhere...but down here in the valley we are stuck in this horrible mucky smoggy haze! Everyone is complaining and now so am I! My eyes are itchy and sore and I'm getting headaches and on the news "they" are saying it's from this inversion. We need a great big snow storm here to wipe it out! Today wasn't bad as you could actually sort of see the sun, but the gorgeous mountains that are usually so visible are practically invisible!

I guess I could go up the Park City which is about a half hour drive away and hobnob with all of the mucky mucks at the Sundance Film Festival, but I can't be bothered! Celebrities are totally over rated these days, although I must admit that some pretty interesting movies come out of Sundance every year. I tend to like the indie films. The run of the mill stuff bores me.

I went down to Provo last week to my favorite antique mall called Treasures and found so many great things! It was great to see my friends Paula and Cathy again who work there. I used to have a booth there, but it was just too much work trying to keep up with the booth, do Ebay and sell on the web site so I let the booth go. Best decision yet! Anyway, I found so many beautiful new treasures and I am working hard at getting them listed this week. Have a peek in the Vintage Finds and Cottage Treasures sections of the web site and you'll see what I mean!

Yesterday was my Dad's birthday and it was the first time in my life not celebrating it due to his passing away in June. It felt very strange not to call him up and give him a hard time! I miss him so much. Grief is hard and I'm still trying to deal with it all. On a more cheerful note, my Mom has set a date to come down and visit us here in Salt Lake. She should be here during the month of March for about one month or more if I can convince her. We are both really looking forward to it! It's always nice to have something to look forward to especially at this time of year! It still feels like winter, but we're all itching for spring to show up!

That's it for now. I'll keep you posted on the weather so cross your fingers for us here in Salt Lake. We need all the luck we can get! (*_*)

Hi Stacy,
So sorry to hear about your dad and I'm sure yesterday was very hard. My parents have been gone for 18 and 21 years, birthdays, holidays and the like are still so very hard. I have learned to just cherish the wonderful memories we had together.
