Village Whites ~ A True Delight!

One of my absolute favorite shops at historic Gardner Village in West Jordan, Utah, is Village Whites. This is a charming shop full of beautiful linens, shabby accents, feminine cottage style furniture and whimsical accessories for the romantic style home. It has a vast array of gorgeous Heritage Lace that includes hundreds of dreamy curtain panels, lace placemats and tablecloths, doilies and other beautiful lace pieces. Tantilizing room sprays perfume the air as you wander through charming aisles of cottage style furniture, delightful teapots and whimsical accents. One section has a definite French flair with a stunning black and white color scheme and one can almost hear the ceramic frog princes croaking with delight in their surroundings. This shop is a must see if you are in the Salt Lake City area. I visit it several times per month to take a break. I love to shop in the pretty atmosphere of this delightful store and it fuels me with beautiful decorating ideas for my own home. Until next time, ~Stacy~ xo

My Best Buddies...

Everyone loves their dog and I am no exception! I thought I would share a few cute pics with you of my two favorite furry friends. Bobo, the little black rascal at the top, is my best friend (well, other than hubby!). He came with me from Canada and I have had him since he was a puppy. He is now 15.5 years old and still going strong! He sleeps a little bit more now during the day and is a little more grumpy at times than he used to be, but he is still the best companion ever. Don't even want to think about a future without him! The other adorable white maltipoo is Lacey and she lives with my Mom in Canada. She always brings her along when she comes to visit and she is just a really sweet little dog. Bobo isn't too impressed with her. He practically ignores her when she is around, but I guess he's earned being the "top dog" in our house! I think he is too! Until next time, ~Stacy~ xo

The Witches Were Out!

One of my all time favorite places to visit in Salt Lake City is charming Gardner Village in the suburb of South Jordan. Gardner Village contains the outlines of the once bustling early Utah mill industry and history. What remains today is a cluster of retail specialty shops located in restored cabins, houses and buildings nestled adjacent to the Gardner Mill. Now listed on the National Historic Register, the old flour mill is home to Archibald's Restaurant and Country Furniture & Gifts. Vintage pioneer architecture, antique fixtures, red brick paths and bridges over a pond, create a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for shopping, dining and discovering some of Utah's most colorful history.

During each season at Gardner Village, the specialty decorations are brought out for everyone to enjoy. These decorations are exceptionally handcrafted and I love going down to the Village (about 10 minutes from my house!) when things are changing over for a new celebration. While my Mom was here this fall, we had a chance to go down and see the witches that are on display. These witches are incredible!, and very large and are seen everywhere from fishing in a rowboat on the creek to playing baseball. It was hard to capture them this time as there were so many people milling about. I had to take several photographs with people in them, but the pictures are worth it. Beautiful New Treasures Just Listed!

Hello Ladies ~ it's been awhile, but I am back from my trip to Canada and was lucky enough to be able to bring my Mom back with me for FIVE weeks! Yes, I can stand her for that long! (*_*) I am lucky in that regard. I felt the need to spend time with my family this fall so the web site has been put on the back burner for awhile, but I am back and have tons of great new treasures to get listed. Look at that lovely chocolate pot above, it was just listed in Vintage Finds tonight! Yum yum!
